The restaurant 1465
"Au 1465" takes its name from the altitude of the Champex-Lac resort. The establishment offers a breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains that surround it.
You will find the subtle compositions of the talented duo of Valaisan chefs Maël Gross and Christophe Genetti.
The DNA of the Alpine Club is very present in this cuisine, which is resolutely seasonal, locally inspired and organic. It is passion, authenticity and emphasis on taste that forge this culinary identity.
Convinced that the epicurean experience doesn't stop at the plate, we have taken care of every detail of our restaurant. The design is sober and inspired by the surrounding nature. It marvellously combines style and authenticity and offers you a superb view of the lake, inviting nature to your table, literally and figuratively.
Enjoy its terrace with your feet in the water...
Following the last measures, our restaurant is closed to outside visitors until January 22nd. If you really want to come and eat, you can always book a room at the hotel.

Our duo of Valaisan chefs
Professionals of the restoration for more than 10 years, the chefs Maël Gross and Christophe Genetti are in charge of the stoves of 1465. They share the same passion and the same values of the profession as well as a deep friendship.
Originally from Salvan and Ardon, in Valais, respectively, both are attached to their terroir and their origins, favoring short circuits, the valorization of local resources and collaboration with the producers of the region. Both of them have had a wonderful career in the best gastronomic and bistronomic establishments in Valais and Switzerland.
Because we care about our region, our restaurant is labeled Grand Entremont.
With several hundred different vintages, the Cave du 1465 is home to the best craftsmen and women of the vine and wine industry, from all the wine-growing regions of Switzerland of course, but also from the surrounding countries. The cellar was created by a renowned sommelier in collaboration with the owner of the premises, with the emphasis on the Alpine arc and its emblematic grape varieties.
Some bottles are offered to you in their youth, others have been aged in the cellars of the respective winemakers until they reach maturity. Particular attention has been given to this selection in order to offer you products designed according to a sustainable production ethic.
Our architects have designed the cellar of the 1465 as one of the masterpieces of the establishment. In the basement, a guard cellar, composed of 3 large cellars joined together, is enhanced by a glass window in the corridor and a porthole visible from the reception area on the first floor. The ensemble is completed by two service cellars at the restaurant level.
A place for living and sharing, our bar Au Service Course and its comfortable armchairs invite you to relax. Our guests can enjoy a cocktail or a nectar from our regions that our sommelier will be happy to serve you and comment on.
